Au revoir remorque!

We’ve just been to Wales via Belgium. We took a car and trailer-load (with gardening equipment, cycling kit, garden scupltures, indoor plants, special trees, tools, tree-climbing gear and even some food from our grossly overstocked larder) to store at the batiment in Deux Acren (Wilf and Gelise’s place) on the basis that when we leave we can’t tow a caravan and a trailer at the same time. Likewise since we can only carry two bikes on the car roof we took the tourers over too. We had a grand weekend in Belgium and even felt a bit holiday-like. We landed back in Hull and drove coast-to-coast (well we briefly saw the Mersey) to a programme meeting at Gregynog near Newtown in Powys. Our sense of impending freedom persisted through the meeting which was actually rather good. Then we drove back to Drum via Glasgow and brought Mum north for a few days, which was lovely and helped to maintain the holiday mood (another way of saying helping to stave off the inevitable stress and panic of packing and moving).

We’ll look forward to seeing the trailer again in the Spring, hopefully trailing our toys to a new place in Alsace where we will be working and playing.
